p.18 Robert Warner Creekmore served in the War of 1812 as a Private in the Company commanded by Capt Isaac Hawkins in the First Regiment of the North Carolina Militia commanded by Lt Col. D. McDonald, volunteering at Nash Co., NC on or about May or June 1814 for a term of six months and continued in actual service four months and six days and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sargeant at Camp Portsmouth, Norfolk Co., VA on 8 Apr 1815. Robert was 59 years of age and a resident of Yalobusha Co., MS at the time he made his claim under the Bounty Land Act of 1850. He was issued a Warrant #37299 for 80 acres of land, filed 6 Apr 1851 Yalobusha Co., MS.92917
