The Ellis family were of Sandwich where Obadiah spent his youth. Bennett Ellis ... had a brother Joel Ellis. Note that Obadiah (Eddy) named a son Joel. Obadiah during the rest of his life had many dealings with the Ellis family and a Joel Ellis witnessed the codicil to his will.83741
