Sir Robert Hyde, knt. who marr: cousin & heiress of Thomas de Norbury, by whom he acquired the lordship of Norbury, Cheshire. “He was Lord of the Manor of Hyde & Newton in Cheshire, Shallcross & Ferneley in Derbyshire abt 1209-1228 & Halghton & Denton in Lancashire abt 1255, in which county he had also nine oxgangs of land in Heiton. He was living at the time of Henry III.
