The ancestry for the Hydes of Norbury is compiled from the book "Kin Of Mellcene Thurman Smith" and is taken from "Omerod's History of Cheshire Vol. 3, pp. 393-395" and "Burkes Landed Gentry Vol. 3 p. 2759-2760".  The author states that "This lineage does not agree with that given for Hydes of Norbury in Ormerod's Hist. of Cheshire, Vol. 3, pp. 393-5, but the differences are not great and can be worked out. The last five generations are the same."  Descended from these Hyde's are those in Wiltshire at Tisbury and West Hatch and also Edward Hyde; Earl of Clarendon. 53735
