V103 Pg277 The 2nd wife of John3 Sanford of Newport (No.5) s/o Samuel2 of Portsmouth, s/o Pres John1, was not the widow of Jeremiah Wilcox or the d/o Thomas Mallett of Newport. She was Mary, d/o William & Martha (Earle) Wood of Dartmouth, born according to her gravestone, in 1664. She married first Samuel Wilcox of Dartmouth, secondly Thomas Mallett of Newport and thirdly John Sanford (cf. The Register, vol 60, p. 400)65332
