Pg 440 Duty Sayles Tyler with his brother-in-law, Stephen Brayton Brown, formed a copartnership and under the firm name of Brown & Tyler they leased a small mill & machinery of Gershom Turner for the manufacture & coloring of cotton yarn… In 1839 the partnership dissolved, Mr. Tyler taking a large farm for his interest in the concern, and he resided thereon until 1845, engaged in farming.65482
