C1720-1 George Goodwin Will; In the name of God Amen. The Last Will & Testament of George Goodwin, Carpenter in the county of St Mary’s province of Maryland, I George Goodwin being sick and weak in body but perfect sound and memory do first bequeath my soul to God that gave it & my body to the ground in hopes of a glorious ressurection; and my worldly goods I give as followeth: Item I give & bequeath to Henry Exon all my working tools as axes saws plows & all other tools whatsoever; also I give & bequeath to the said Henry Exon eight hundred pounds of tobacco to be paid by Mr. Thomas Dent & also two hundred to be paid by Thomas Winn: and also two chests the one empty & the other full of weaving clothes & lining all which I give & bequeath to the above said Henry Exon; & also I make the above said Henry Exon my Executor at my decease & do give & bequeath to him the said Henry Exon, all my moveable goods whatsoever with all bills debts & accounts which are due to me only my funeral expenses to be paid out of it & my expenses in the time of my sickness.
