54947Pg 9 Henry Plantagenet of Bolingbroke, Duke of Lancaster, Duke of Hereford, Earl of Derby, Earl of Lincoln and Earl of Leicester, High Steward of England, also Duke of Aquitaine in Normandy. ... having on 3 Feb 1398/9, suc. his father, as Duke of Lancaster, & c., he returned to England and was 30 Sep 1399, elected King thereof as Henry IV.
17383Pg 205 10 Henry IV of England (of Bolingboke), K.G., Earl of Hereford & Northampton jure uxoris. He was created Duke of Hereford 29 Sep 1397. Very soon afterwards began a quarrel with Thomas Mowbray, Duke of Norfolk, which was ended in the banishment of both Dukes in Sep 1398. On his father's death Feb 1399, Henry succeeded him as Duke of Lancaster, Earl of Lincoln and Leicester & the banishment was rescinded. He returned to England at the end of Jun and deposed his cousin, King Richard II. He was declared King of England on 13 Oct 1399.
