Certificate of Pension issued 5 Dec 1818 and delivered to the pensioner. Arrears to 4 Sep 1818 $26.35, Semi-anl, all’ed ending 4 Mar 1819 $48. Total 4 most 5/31 to 4/30 $74.55.
Pg 3: State of MD first Judicial District, fix, 27 May 1818 before me the subscriber, the Chief Judge of the aforesaid district personally appeared Samuel Scott, aged abt 57 yrs, resident of Prince George’s County … enlisted in the year 1730 in the state of MD in the company commanded by Capt Wm Murdock of the second MD regiment commanded by Col Ford, that he enlisted to serve during the war … served until the end of the war, when he was discharged from service in Baltimore MD that he was in the battles of Gilford Court House, NC, at Campden in SC and in several schermishes that he was also at the siege of 96 … Sworn to and declared by me the day and year aforesaid. /s/ J. W. Johnson.
Pg 6: First Judicial District of MD Prince George’s County. 6 Apr 1821 personally appeared in open court being a court of record for said county … Samuel Scott of Prince George’s County, aged 60 yrs who being first duly sworn according to law … served in the Revolutionary War as follows, that he enlisted in the Company commanded by Capt William Murdock in the Second MD regiment commanded by Col Ford abt the year 1780 for three years or during the war and period until discharged after the peace at Baltimore
