Sergeant, Capt Sylvanus Martin’s co, Col Thomas Carpenter’s regt; service, 16 days; company marched from Rehoboth to Bristol, RI, on the alarm of 8 Dec 1776; also, 1st Lieutenant, Capt Sylvanus Martin’s 3d (2d Rehoboth) co, Col Thomas Carpenter’s (Bristol Co) regt of MA militia; list of officers chosen in said company 16 May 1777; said Willmarth chosen in place of Aaron Barney, who had moved from Rehoboth; ordered in Council 23 Jun 1777; also Capt, 3rd co, Col Thomas Carpenter’s (1st Bristol Co) regt of MA militia; list of officers; commissioned 11 Jan 1779; also, Capt, Col Carpenter’s regt; marched 28 Jul 1780; discharged 31 Jul 1780; service, 5 days, on an alarm at RI; company detached for 6 days service and marched from Rehoboth to Tiverton, RI and there served under Gen Heath;p also, same regt; marched 1 Aug 1780; discharged 8 Aug 1780; service, 10 days; company marched from Rehoboth to Tiverton, RI, on the alarm of 1 Aug 1780 and there served under Gen Heath; note on roll states that said Willmarth and others who are credited with 10 days service were detached and served 1 day after the company was discharged.
