Knight banneret. He succeeded his grandfather in 1478. By the inquisition in 19th of Henry VIII he is shown to have held lands in Lyme Hanley from the king in socage, by fealty. He held also half the manor of Gropenhall and lands in Broome, Heteby, Trephurst, Sutton and Macclesfield.
