Adam De Dutton, Lord of Warburton in the time Henry II & Richard I & King John (1154-1216)

Adam de Dutton, another son & heir, from whom the Warburtons, of Arley, are descended, in the reign of Richard I, became possessed of all Warburton, one moiety by marriage with Agnes, dau & heiress of Roger Fitz-Alured, the other half, being the fee of Halton, was given him by John, constable of Chester, &c. and since held this moiety of the priory of St John, of Jerusalem. He possessed also, Great Budworth, Aston, Neither-Tabley, Sutton juxta Frodsham, Appleton, and Hull, Newton, by Daresbury, Hatton, Stretton, half Lym, half Sale, and half Neither-Walton.
