Misc. Notes
The will of Francis Piles Sr, probable father of Francis Jr, was probably lost in the Calvert Co courthouse fire of 1882, but state land & tax records show that Francis Jr inherited his father's plantation " Cuckold Point". (S:American Genealogical-Biographical Index)

The Pyle-Pile family in America
77953Pg 186 Another name has gotten our attention and that is Thomas Piles, for on the record (Liber IKL, p 2 (R) is the Cattle Mark given to Thomas Piles. ... This Thomas may go to this family and he may not but the dates are right for him to be a son of Francis 1.
What the relationship between Francis, John Piles, gent. and the Dr. Richard line we do not know. But in all probability they were all related and came from the same part of Eng. in Wiltshire County.
