Dec 7, 1941 came along .. sense of confusion. Uncle Pryor went immediately into the Navy and became a dirigible pilot. He was a very early casualty. Killed in a dirigible crash after guiding the falling ship away from populated areas.

LT. PRYOR HESSE taught in Sullivan, MO schools and then was called into military service in World War II. He was in the U.S. Navy Air Corps, flying blimps in patrol service and was stationed in Santa Anna, CA, where he lost his life on May 3, 1945.18574
