I am looking for any information on James K. Polk Gum, he is my gggrandfather, born and lived in Highland Co. Va. The only thing my grandfather and my gUncle Alvie Richard Gum remembers is that he was called "Polk" and he shot himshelf (sic). I found a tomestone (sic) in the Puffenbarger cemetary with the name James P. Gum b. 1845, d.1885.

My ggrandfather is Charles Richard Gum, grandfather is William Robert Gum, father Richard Lee Gum.
