Pg 111, 36. Llywelyn ap Seisyll (see Deheubarth 34, Chapter2) King of the Welsh by conquest, at whose death in 1023 Gwynedd reverted to Iago ap Idwal (Gwynedd 34). After lago was slain in 1039, Gruffydd gradually reestablished control over all Wales, and become one of its best kings. Gruffydd was slain by treachery 5 Aug 1062 and his head taken to Harold Godinson (later Harold II, k. at Hastings 1066; Denmark 34, Chapter 2, who two years later Marr: his widow Edith.13601
