I in 1306, in his expedition into Scotland, and was made knight of the bath with Prince Edward, afterwards Edw. II. In 1311 he had summons to appear at Carlisle, and march against the Scots; and in 1340 he had a charter for free warren at Wytherslack in Westmoreland, with license to impark (sic) 600 acres within the precincts of his lordship of Aldingham He was summoned among the barons of the realm from 1325 to 1347, in which year he died.42791
