McDonald, volunteering at Nash Co., NC on or about May or June 1814 for a term of six months and continued in actual service four months and six days and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sargeant at Camp Portsmouth, Norfolk Co., VA on 8 Apr 1815. Robert was 59 years of age and a resident of Yalobusha Co., MS at the time he made his claim under the Bounty Land Act of 1850. He was issued a Warrant #37299 for 80 acres of land, filed 6 Apr 1851 Yalobusha Co., MS.78216
