Card 2: Confederate, Co G, 11 Regt VA Cav; Company Muster Roll of the organization named above for Jany & Feby 1863 (dated Feb 28, 1863) shows station of company, Camp near Edenburg; Record of Events: Jany 2, 1863 this company with the Regt left Camp near New Market for Moorefield reached Moorefield morning of third Jany, had a few shells thrown among horses but had not horse or men hurt 12 Jan started on trip. Winchester with 12 VA Cavalry returned after a very disagreeable trip 17 Jany 1863 nobody hurt. Feb 26, 1863 went into fight between Woodstock & Strasburg charged enemy 2 1/2 miles below Strasburg. The Squadron composed of D? & G Cos. being honored with the advance in this fight had one man killed no other scouts marche on fights since last muster. /s/ D. A. Boyd, Copyist
